About
Rich DeMatteo | Creator
Hello, my names Rich and I’m the creator of Corn On The Job. I’m a Philadelphia area Staffing/Human Resources professional with four years of experience in multiple disciplines of staffing. My adventures in both agency and corporate recruiting has handed over a wealth of knowledge, experience, joy, and opinion.
Agency recruiting provided a wonderful opportunity to coach thousands of job seekers, each needing some level of career preparation. Coaching candidates was exciting, but the real thrill came when a match was made between client and candidate. Experiences with hundreds of client managers gave me insight into what works/doesn’t work in each step of the hiring process. Working as corporate recruiter placed me on the other side of the fence, utilizing multiple staffing strategies aimed at identifying the most effective and efficient sourcing, screening, and selection processes. My coaching was now focused towards the hiring managers at my company. I became an expert on Behavioral Interviewing, training managers in every function on the process. I also ran the company internship/co-op program. The experiences were endless.
Along with the work experience I outlined above, I have a Masters in Human Resources Development from Villanova University, officially graduating in December 2009. Cool, obligatory biography is complete.
