I love these tips. I’m not necessarily introverted but I shy away from networking for fear of not hearing things correctly (I’m hearing impaired). Even though I wear hearing aides sometimes that actually works against me because I hear to much of the surrounding noise but these tips are definitely helpful nonetheless.

I think it’s important for introverted people know that networking will probably never be ‘fun’ for them. But it’s still something you can tolerate for a little bit of time to get some benefit.

Rich: Great thoughts. I’m a classic introvert, although it’s getting less obvious over time. #3 was always a great one for me, as I’m goal-oriented in any context.

Another helpful tip is to focus more on the depth of the relationships you’re making than on the quantity. Sometimes a room full of faces can get overwhelming, but one great conversation is totally doable.
