A career in nursing is a highly respected career option. Saving lives and caring for a wide range of patients. If you are thinking about embarking on this exciting career, here are a number of perks that come with a career in nursing.
Shortages
You are almost guaranteed to get a job in your chosen hospital because nurses are usually in short supply. The advances in medicine and technology mean people are living for longer and through many more complicated illnesses. There are some signing bonuses and more for nurses in many hospitals.
Location
You have the freedom to choose a number of locations to work in. If you don’t enjoy country life, then you could opt to move to a city or vice versa. Your skills are transferable, so you could even opt to travel to a different country and put them to good use.
Specialist
You can choose a specialty when you are in nursing school in most cases, and become an expert in the field. This will likely earn you a higher salary and offer a number of extra opportunities within your work.
Mobility
Once you have qualified as a nurse, you can choose to go into research, trauma care, research, teaching, and so much more. There is a lot of mobility once you have qualified as a nurse.
