Plenty of people like to work alone; working from home, or remotely outside of the office, is absolutely perfect for them! They excel when they can focus on the task at hand, and like to spend time with other people strictly outside of work.

However, some people are a lot more extroverted within the workplace, and if you’re one of them this is the post for you. And you’re in luck! There are a lot of jobs out there that require you to be around other people most of the time, and we’ve listed just a few possibilities below to help you find a job you’ll truly love.

Teacher

Being a teacher means you’ll be in a classroom 5 days a week, surrounded by other teachers and kids willing to learn. You can change lives as they’re developing and indulge in plenty of gossip in the staff room as well! Even being a substitute teacher means you get to ping back and forth across school districts, meeting new people wherever you go.

Logistics

Logistics might sound like a lonely job – you’ll be on the road a lot and away from your loved ones for extended periods – but it also can be regularly social. After all, you can turn to driving a truck as a team to spend time with at least one other person for days at a time and make plenty of money while you’re at it! You’ll also have to regularly talk to delivery coordinators at either end of a job.

Lawyer

If you want your career to act as a part time social life, becoming a lawyer could be the route for you. You’ll be doing long hours surrounded by an entire office of like minded people, and you’ll be regularly dealing with new clients you can get to know on a personal basis. And if you enjoyed the debate society back in school, you’ll love being in a courtroom too!

Nurse

Training as a registered nurse means you’ll be talking all day long. Not only will you be administering treatment at all hours, but you’ll need to be friendly and open with all patients. You’ll need to put them at ease and make sure they’re comfortable, and if you’re a people person who thrives on helping out, this is a job you’ll be a natural at. You may even thrive with the long hours.

Therapist

Being a therapist, whether you’re a counsellor or a physio, is a great way to spend one on one time with people. You’ll need a degree to become a therapist and plenty of observed work experience hours, but the training is sociable too! You can help a person with both mental and physical issues, be part of the support structure in their life, and watch them flourish as they get stronger and stronger.

If you’re an extroverted personality, there’s a job out there for you! Look into fields like these and see where they could take you.
